But for couples who want a visually unbeatable backdrop for 30 to 60 close guests, few places in Europe can match it. Naples is the closest airport, followed by an hour of transfers along narrow coastal roads.

Ravello is the heart of the local wedding industry. Villa Cimbrone, Villa Eva and Belmond Hotel Caruso dominate the market, all with terraces 350 metres above the sea. Ceremonies are typically held on the Belvedere, the famous infinity terrace, or among the cloister ruins. It is one of the most photographed wedding spots on the planet.
Positano leans more hotel-based. The season is short: May to early October. July and August are overcrowded and hot, so May, June and September are recommended. The roads are tight; never self-drive on the wedding day, hire a local driver.
