Wedding Abroad ("we", "us", "our"), a service by Adealsweden AB, cares about your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website and services.
3. What data do we collect?

4. How do we use the data?
We use your personal data to: • Match you with suitable wedding planners • Send your inquiry to relevant suppliers • Communicate with you about your inquiries • Improve our services and website • Send relevant information about destination weddings (with your consent)
5. Sharing with suppliers
When you send an inquiry, we share the wedding details with the suppliers registered for that destination: your date, number of guests, budget, your name and what you have written. Your email address and telephone number are not shared at that point. They are given to an individual supplier only when you reply to that supplier, and only to that one. Until you reply, no supplier can contact you outside the platform. Suppliers are bound by their own privacy policies and by our supplier terms, and may only use your data to respond to your inquiry. With suppliers who are members with us a stricter rule applies: neither you nor the supplier sees the other’s email address, telephone number, website or social media until the deposit has been paid through us.
6. Messages and translation
Inquiries and messages between you and the suppliers are translated automatically. The text is then sent to DeepL SE (Germany), which carries out the translation for us. Messages to and from suppliers who are members are also checked automatically, so that contact details are not sent before the deposit has been paid. Legal basis: contract, and for the check our legitimate interest in the agreement with the supplier being kept.
7. Deposits paid through us
If you pay a deposit through us, the card payment is handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, Ireland), which is the controller for your card details. We receive the amount and the status, never the card number. We share the deposit’s amount and status with the supplier. Legal basis: contract, and for bookkeeping a legal obligation.
8. Affiliate links
Some links in the Our wedding planner go to Trip.com and are affiliate links: if you book through them, we may earn a commission from Trip.com. We send no personal data to Trip.com, only the place and dates you search for. Once you click through, Trip.com's own privacy policy and cookies apply.
9. The AI assistant
When you write to the assistant on the website, what you write and the page you are on are sent to Anthropic PBC (USA), which provides the AI model that writes the answers. In the Our wedding planner, a summary of your plan is sent as well, without your names. We do not store the conversations ourselves. Anthropic processes the data as our processor under its commercial terms and data processing addendum, which include the EU standard contractual clauses for the transfer to the USA, and does not use it to train its models. Please do not write personal details such as your email address or phone number in the chat.
10. Legal basis

11. Retention period
We store your personal data as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, usually up to 24 months after your last interaction with us. Records of payments and bookings, such as deposits and receipts, are kept for seven years as Swedish bookkeeping law requires.
