In Italy many supplier costs are fixed, Italian VAT (IVA) of 22 % is added, and professional services are taxed heavily. "Planners quoted wildly different numbers." A legitimate quote itemises venue, catering per cover, drinks, coordinator fee (often 10-15 % of budget), photography, flowers, music, furniture and technical hire, and VAT.
