Ask your planner to explain each part of the Poruwa to your guests in advance.
Legal marriage is possible. Sri Lanka allows foreign couples to marry legally. A marriage registrar registers the marriage after a notice of marriage, and the Registrar General's Department sets a minimum stay in Sri Lanka before the notice and a waiting period after it, unless a special licence is granted. Season. On the west coast the drier months run from around December to April. From around May to September the south-west monsoon brings heavy rain and rough surf, so plan an outdoor ceremony for the first months of the year.
