Ari Atoll lies west of Male Atoll and is one of the Maldives' largest and most marine-rich regions. It has some of the world's finest waters for diving and whale-shark encounters, and the resorts are spread further apart than in Male Atoll - which gives a more private feel but also longer transfer times. This is the destination for couples who value seclusion, marine life and a more authentic Maldives than the busier nearby waters.
Travel time matches Male Atoll - 10-12 hours from London via Doha or Dubai. Visa-free 30 days. From the airport the transfer is longer: 30-60 minutes by seaplane depending on the resort (Conrad Maldives Rangali, W Maldives, LUX* South Ari, Constance Halaveli).
